Migration checklist

Migration checklist in the Migrating from Solid and SolidStart guide.

  1. Install @shadow-js/core, @shadow-js/web, @shadow-js/vite; change tsconfig.json to jsxImportSource: "@shadow-js/web" and the Vite plugin to shadow().
  2. Rename imports with the table in Imports. Do the mechanical renames first (createSignal to useStore, createMemo to useMemo, createEffect to useEffect, createResource to useResource, createStore to useStore).
  3. Replace [resource, { refetch }] tuples with the single resource object.
  4. Search for on(, createComputed, createMutable and innerHTML=": these need edits, not renames.
  5. Replace store setters that return arrays built from the draft ((todos) => todos.filter(...)) with the forms in Append and remove in a store.
  6. Move routes from <Route> elements to defineRoute objects and replace createAsync(query(...)) with loaders.
